Lingo Lab member, Loren Aguilar, selected to be a participant in ASHA’s Minority Student Leadership Program

Loren Aguilar was selected to be a participant in the American Speech-Language Hearing Association's (ASHA’s) Minority Student Leadership Program (MSLP) 2022 Student Leadership Development Series. This award allows Loren to take part in a set of leadership-focused educational seminars. Not only do these seminars provide an opportunity to build and enhance her leadership skills, but they also provide a great opportunity to network with students and leaders in the Communicative Sciences and Disorders field. This is a very prestigious selection and as such Loren is:

• The first student from a Michigan university to attend MSLP since 2006!
• The third student from the state of Michigan to attend (inaugural class (99) EMU, 2006-CMU).
• The first Michigan State student (UG, MA, PhD, AuD) to ever participate in this program!
• The first undergraduate to participate in MSLP from the state of Michigan!!!

Loren is very grateful to be selected to participate in ASHA's MSLP and is looking forward to being apart this exciting experience during the 2022 ASHA Convention.
